The final day of Austin City Limits 2013 has been cancelled due to flash flood conditions caused by heavy rains. While rains are a relatively consistent presence at ACL, it marks the first time in the festival’s 12-year existence that a show day has been cancelled.

Event promoters C3 Presents issued a statement around 9:30 a.m. Sunday:
“Our first priority is always the safety of our fans, staff and artists,” said Shelby Meade, communications director for C3 Presents, the promoter behind ACL. “We regret having to cancel the show today, but safety always comes first.”
According to C3, ticketholders will receive a refund of one-third of the cost of a weekend pass, based on original ticket price paid. Refunds will be distributed via check from Front Gate Tickets within three weeks.
