January 7
To kick off the new year of games Klei Entertainment will bring over its indie title Don't Starve to the PS4 platform. It will be featured as the month's free release for PlayStation Plus subscribers. In other words, in seven days you'll have something new to play assuming you own a PS4.

January 9
Raiden's action hack and slash game did pretty well on consoles, so Konami is bringing it over to PC. Named Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance , it puts you in control of a Raiden after he's been equipped with a powerful cyborg suit. The game is fast paced and thrilling, living up to Platinum Games' standards.

January 14
The 14th features the year's first double game day, with the first being an HD release of the Vita's Assassin's Creed 3: Liberation . Taking place in Louisiana during the French and Indian War, Assassin's Creed 3: Liberation HD adheres to the historically-driven style of the Assassin's Creed series, but with a setting never before seen on consoles.
The Banner Saga is also primed for release, offering a tactical RPG themed with Vikings.

January 23
Might & Magic is back, this time with an even lengthier adventure for fans. In Might & Magic X: Legacy you get to choose one of several classes and enjoy a deep voyage through dungeons collecting loot and earning valuable experience.

Finally, what you've been waiting for, the star of the January calendar. Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition is a supercharged version of one of our top 10 favorite games of 2013 : Tomb Raider . You can expect noticeably improved visuals and all the bonuses of new hardware functionality in this game developed specifically for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
If you aren't feeling like an adventure, maybe Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z is more up your alley. If you love going super saiyan on a Friday night then you can't go wrong with Namco Bandai's latest creation.
