Development hell? DOOM 4 might be suffering from an abnormally long development cycle, but you could be enjoying it this year if you play your cards right.
id Software’s next title, Wolfenstein: The New Order, has been confirmed for a May 20th deployment. Made better, those who pre-order the title will get exclusive access to the DOOM 4 beta.
Now, the catch is that the DOOM 4 beta won’t start on the same day as Wolfenstein‘s release. Currently, the site says that it “won’t begin until a later, yet-to-be announced date”.
Bethesda has previously said that the engine built for Rage would be used to power the next Wolfenstein and DOOM titles. Rage was a visually striking game that left a good impression for how realistic future game from the studios can look.
