The nominations for the East Coast Music Awards were announced this week, and artists like Paper Lions, Classified, and David Myles are all neck-in-neck with six noms.
Amelia Curran received five nominations, and Dave Gunning and Mo Kenney had four apiece.
Paper Lions are up for Album of the Year (for their latest release My Friends), Fan’s Choice Entertainer of the Year, Fan’s Choice Video of the Year, Group Recording of the Year, Pop Recording of the Year, and Song of the Year. Classified and Myles are also up for Album of the Year.
The East Coast Music Awards are a part of the 26-year tradition of East Coast Music Week, and 2013 marked the 25th anniversary of the event and association in Halifax, the city where it all began. The association produced the largest event of its kind in the region, while posting one of its largest surpluses in association history.
The East Coast Music Awards will take place on April 6th in Charlottetown.
