Australian electronica artist Chet Faker is embarking on an extensive national tour in June and July.
Heavily rumoured to be part of this year’s Splendour in the Grass festival, Chet Faker- aka Nick Murphy- put the speculation to rest when he told Music Feeds this week, “I’m not performing at it this year” after originally telling Purple Sneakers, “Isn’t the better question, when was the last time a festival booked the same artist three years in a row?”
Instead, Chet Faker is launching an 11-stop Aussie tour kicking off in Geelong on June 12 before visiting a bunch of major national destinations for a run of theatre shows.
Playing his first headline dates since 2012, the tour will support last week’s successful launch of debut full-length album Built On Glass.
Built On Glass is edging closer to a coveted No.1 spot on the Australian charts, moving in behind INXS’s The Very Best and ahead of the Ball Park Music record Puddinghead.
