Xbox One “Needs to Do More” to Beat PS4, says Head of Xbox

The new Head of Xbox Phil Spencer has admitted some of the Xbox One’s current failings, saying that his team “needs to do more” if they want to catch up with Sony’s PS4 in terms of sales.

Speaking to a fan on Twitter, who suggested to Spencer that Xbox should “curb stomp” the competition, Spencer replied. “Definitely in (it) to win.” He added: “We need to do more, that’s 100% of my focus.”

Spencer also responded to a fan who asked whether or not he was nervous regarding E3 2014, saying: “More excited than nervous. The Xbox team is working hard to make the show great.”

Currently, Sony has sold 7 million units of the PS4, while Microsoft has only announced how many units it has sold to retailers: the current number of sold Xbox One consoles is unknown
