A mixed bag of performers have been announced for the Calgary Folk Festival, which takes place in July at Prince’s Island Park.
More than 70 artists have been confirmed for the event, running July 24-27.
“We’re not going for the lowest-commo- denominator, everyone’s-heard-of-them kind of artists,” said fest artistic director Kerry Clarke, who has managed the event for years (Calgary Herald). “But we do have ones that certainly would, even if you haven’t heard of them, they would appeal to you and they probably won’t scare you. Like Yamantaka//Sonic Titan.”
Early bird tickets go on sale today at 10am from calgaryfolkfest.com.
