Aisha Tyler is Boycotting Destiny Because “it is like Halo and Halo 4 had a baby”

Actress and comedian Aisha Tyler has gone on record to say she won’t be playing Destiny. Why? Becuase it looks like Halo, only next-gen.

Aisha Tyler opened up an AMA (Ask Me Anything) on NeoGAF to allow gamers to present her questions in regards to this year’s E3. She’s been very open, perhaps even too open. After being asked by a user about what games she’s most excited about at E3, she included the following in her response:

I am boycotting Destiny because it is like Halo and Halo 4 had a baby and it looked exactly like them only next-gen.

First of all, that’s a bold thing to say. Destiny has had the eye of the industry since it was revealed last year, and for good reason; it looks like a great game. Yes, it’s a sci-fi game that has shooter elements, but the similarities end there. Destiny is nothing like Halo.

It’s important to remember that Aisha Tyler is a spokesman for Ubisoft of sorts, she has been the host for their E3 Press Conferences for three years. Destiny is a game published by Activision, and there might be some bad blood there.

In her reply she included Rainbow Six Siege as her most anticipated title, and The Division as another game she’s excited for, both of which are, you guessed it, Ubisoft published games.

So I ask you, what do you think of her comments? Is she right? Do you disagree? Let us know in the comments below.
