Bungie have just released an update on their website which addresses several topics about Destiny, tackling rumors and even sharing new information about the game.
For one, this new update clarifies that, despite rumors, Destiny didn’t really cost $500 million to develop. Marketing isn’t taken into account in this statement, so the huge figure might still be true, but only when commercials and online ads are taken into account. Given the incredible amount of pre-release hype, a $500 million marketing campaign certainly isn’t out of the question. The game is getting a PS4 bundle, for goodness sake.

Bungie also solidified the July 17th beta date for PS4 and PS3. Xbox platforms will be able to join in the fun shortly after, so it’s not PS4 exclusive. However, you’ll need to pre-order the game in order to get into the beta. No exceptions.
Also, Destiny is in-fact rated T for Teen. It isn’t overly violent with gore and dismemberment, and nudity isn’t anywhere to be seen. Disappointed?
Lastly, a list of over 20 achievements/trophies have been released. This list contains no spoilers, and is missing quite a few from the final list. However, for all intents and purposes this is the best look you’ll get at the achievement/trophy hunting aspect of the game before September. See below:
