The Vines have announced the upcoming release of a sixth studio album and a brand new single, ‘Out The Loop’.
Having last heard from The Vines back in 2011, the band returned on Thursday with the release of an ‘Out The Loop’ Soundcloud teaser as well as a YouTube trailer.
The Sydney garage rockers will drop their first independent album, Wicked Nature, on September 2, available now for pre-order via PledgeMusic. Packed as a massive double-LP featuring a 22 tracks, the album was co-produced by frontman Craig Nicholls and producer Paul McKercher (You Am I, Eskimo Joe), with the duo splitting the responsibility between two disks.
After a brief hiatus lasting a couple of years, a new-look The Vines announced an immediate comeback last month featuring bass player Tim John and drummer Lachy West.
Wicked Nature’s first official single, ‘Metalzone’, will be released on Monday, 14th July. Pre-orders receive a bonus three-track download and include chances to win one of a few different prize packs, including signed, original lyric sheets for a pledge of $420.
