Ken Levine Comments on Fox News’ Use of the BioShock Infinite Logo [UPDATE: AMAZON]

Update: Amazon Video Games’ Facebook page has posted the following image:

Well played, Amazon.

Original Story: Fox News employed a logo very familiar to BioShock Infinite‘s in one its news segments, and the game’s creator Ken Levine is not too happy about it.

The logo was incorporated into a discussion about immigration, with a logo incredibly similar to that featured on the game’s box art bearing the words “Defending the Homeland.” BioShock Infinite tackles the subject of racism in its narrative, and the irony of a BioShock Infinite-esque logo being used in the controversial segment was not lost upon Levine.

In a tweet posted on his official Twitter account, Levine wrote: “It’s not the irony of that Fox news thing that bothers me so much. It’s the typesetting.” He also sarcastically told Fox News that he was “glad to help.”

Here’s the two logos for comparison. Here’s BioShock Infinite‘s…

…and here’s the one Fox used in its news segment…

Similar, no?

Fox News hasn’t commented on the likeness of the logos, and as far as we know no legal action has been taken.
