Premier League Player Ravel Morrison “Threatened to Throw Acid” in Girlfriend’s Face

West Ham midfielder Ravel Morrison has been accused of threatening to throw acid in his ex-girlfriend’s face, a court heard today.

The 21-year-old was charged with harassment after having also reportedly threatened to blow up her house and have her killed. Ex-girlfriend Reah Mansoor, 19, appeared before the Manchester Magistrates’ Court and claimed that Morrison’s course of abuse had lasted four years. She also alleged that he had punched and slapped her and her mother, Parveen Mansoor, on July 27th in Salford.

The former Manchester United player is said to be pleading not guilty to the charges and is being held on bail. His bail conditions limit him to living in Canary Wharf, London, and that he does not indirectly or directly contact his ex-girlfriend and her mother. He is also not allowed to enter the Greater Manchester area, nor the street where they live. Morrison will appear at a preliminary hearing on August 28th.

Morrison transferred from Manchester United to West Ham in 2012 for £650,000, before manager Sam Allardyce loaned him to both Birmingham City and QPR. He has also made four appearances for the England Under-21s.
