Grunge icons Soundgarden have announced they will play just two headline shows, one each in Melbourne and Sydney, when they head to Australia in 2015 for the Soundwave Festival.
As one of the top billing acts on the massive lineup, Soundgarden will play Sidewaves — Soundwave sideshows — at Melbourne’s Festival Hall on Tuesday 24th February plus Sydney’s Big Top at Luna Park on Thursday, 26th February 2015, in addition to their Soundwave Festival sets.
Aided by Chris Cornell’s absurd vocal range and the band’s extensive, award-winning catalogue, Soundgarden are sure to floor spectators with their high energy shows. Sure to be included in their sets are cuts from the band’s latest offering, Echo of Miles: Scattered Tracks Across The Path, their highly anticipated rarities and B-sides compilation album. It follows their 2012 return album, King Animal.
Soundgarden are the first in a long line of acts expected to announce headline shows around Soundwave 2015, though headliners Slipknot and Faith No More have been ruled out of any appearances outside their festival dates. See all of Soundgarden’s Soundwave 2015 Sidewave details below.
