Justin Bieber’s Calvin Klein Ad Inspires Bondi Hipsters Parody

Beachside comedy duo Bondi Hipsters could potentially provoke the ire of Beliebers worldwide, having unveiled their shirtless parody of Justin Bieber‘s new Calvin Klein ads with model Lara Stone.

The Sydney comedy duo, known as either Dom Nader and Adrian Archer or by their real names Christiaan Van Vuuren and Nick Boshier, unveiled their photographic spoof on their Facebook page and offered it as a tribute to Bieber’s “groundbreaking, heroic mohdelling”.

In the images, which you can marvel at below, the hirsute Christian Van Vuuren takes on the daunting role of The Biebs while the wide-eyed Nick Boshier channels Stone’s gaze.

“We love what Justin did with the whole dead-eyed soulless look in his latest Calvin Klein catalogue,” wrote the pair. “It’s quite incredible how he’s been able to summon the vacuous vacant-eyed gaze of an ice addict suffering from severe PTSD.”

“We know what you’re probably thinking; ‘what would a cherub-voiced teenaged billionaire baldy know of suffering and sorrow?’… But look at him! Juhstin Biehber is sporting a 100% genuine blank-as-fuck thousand-yard stare, and he doesn’t even have hair on his chest yet!” they add.

Whether intentional or not, here the Bondi Hipsters have touched on a controversial subject of sorts as alleged original, unedited photos from the campaign obtained by TMZ suggest a considerable amount of hair was added to Bieber’s lower abdomen in post production.

“Either way, kudos to young Biebs,” add the Hipsters. “He clearly gives zero shits, and we think that this is case of groundbreaking, heroic mohdelling. That little baldy is gonna do ‘aight in the fahshion industreh. However… We’ve taken the time to re-shoot his campaign and think that with a little hair on our chests, we’ve brought something edgier and slightly more realistic to the table.”
