Watch Dark Souls 2 PS4 Gameplay Footage Running at 1080p, 60FPS

Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin, the upcoming “complete” edition of From Software’s critically-acclaimed 2014 game, will run at 1080p and 60fps on the PS4. If you don’t believe us, here’s a gameplay video to prove it.

The game will run at its max settings on the PS4 edition of the game, with it also set to be released on the Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. From Software has also stated that it will run at 1080p, 60fps on the PC and Xbox One versions of the game.

Scholar of the First Sin will feature all three DLC packs for the game, along with improved lighting and the addition of a new enemy called The Forlorn, one of various phantoms that will invade your game, along with shuffled enemy and item placement, six-player multiplayer and a brand new ending.

While the game still seemingly retains the same textures and character models, it’s still a relatively notable visual upgrade, especially in terms of its much-improved frame rate. It’s also great to see parity between the PS4 and Xbox One editions of the game, a rare feat these days.

Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin will arrive on PS4 and Xbox One on April 3rd in the UK, and April 7th in the US. It’s already available as an update for the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game, though, so if you’re not concerned with waiting to get your hands on the current-gen console remakes, then you can grab it right now from the PlayStation Store, Xbox Live Marketplace and Steam.
