A Bloodborne exploit that allows players to jump to the Forbidden Woods area of the game, skipping out the entirety of Yarnham in the process, has been found.
The exploit is currently being utilized by speedrunners, though it’s simple enough for even Bloodborne newbies to pull off. While I’d suggest not taking advantage of the glitch during your first playthrough, given that you’re going to want to explore the entirety of Bloodborne‘s world for yourself (and also because you’ll be too underleveled to take on that stage of the game), it’s certainly something to consider during a second playthrough of the game.

By pulling off this glitch you can effectively fast-travel to the Forgotten Woods within 10-15 minutes, bypassing Bloodborne‘s starting area and its first few bosses.

Bloodborne Forbidden Woods Glitch #1
After you have been transported to the Hunter's Dream and have obtained your weaponry from the messengers, you can then travel to Central Yarnham. From the starting area, enter the gate on the right (if you have just begun your adventure, the left gate will be closed anyway), and defeat the villager who ambushes you.

Rather than continue along the path, take a look to your left and you'll see a large gap in the metal fence. Jump down, kill the villager and then proceed down the small set of steps, before taking a left. There are a few more villagers down here who can give you some problems early on in the game, so either try to run around them, confront them one-by-one or wait for them to pass.

Now for the trickiest part. When you reach the end of the path, you'll see the closed gate to your right, and a pile of barrels and boxes to your left. Knocking these down will reveal a small, cordoned-off area that is unfortunately occupied by a big hooded beast wielding a rather sharp weapon.
While you could spend a while trying to hack away at him, your best bet is to attempt to parry his charged attack with a shot of your gun, staggering him in the process. When you do this, get close to him and press R1 for a critical hit. Do this a couple of times and you can make relatively short work of him.

After you have defeated the monster, you'll see a coffin resting upon the metal fencing around the secret area, with another coffin laying next to it. You're going to use the coffin on the floor to propel yourself onto the ledge behind it.
The coffin on the floor can give you an extra burst of momentum if you jump whilst taking a running jump from its edge. To do this, you must hold down the circle button to run, and then once you reach it, quickly double-tap the button. It will likely take you a few attempts to get the hang of it, but once you have you'll be catapulted into the air and will land on the ledge.

Now you're on the ledge. Walk all the way to your right, but be careful to not fall off otherwise you're going to have to repeat the previous step again.

Keep walking to the right and you'll come across these sandbags. You're going to need to use these to provide you with some extra momentum in your jump. Keep walking along the ledge, past these sandbags until you cannot go any further. You're going to need to take another running jump, so you're going to need a little bit of space.

Like the coffin jump, you're going to need to time your running jump in this segment, double-tapping circle when you reach the aforementioned sandbags. If done correctly, the sandbags will push you over onto the other side of the metal fence, but be careful - you're going to want to land in the gap with the building to your right. If you don't, you run the risk of falling to the ground on the other side of the fence, which will transport you back to the starting area and thus mean you'll need to start all over again.
If you successfully manage to land on the other side of the fence whilst remaining on the ledge, then continue walking forward and you'll see a graveyard to your right.

There is a hole in this small graveyard with a ladder you must descend, which will lead you to another ladder you must also climb down. After doing so, you'll find yourself in a cave with an entrance way to the Forbidden Woods. It's as easy as that.
