CraveOnline SXSW Music Showcase Highlights: Action Bronson, Doomtree & More

If you’ve never been to SXSW, understanding will be in abstract. The grueling marathon of music through the heart of Austin each March brings with it thousands of bands and notable headliners for media heads and megafans to chase around throughout the week. Each year, a few noteworthy appearances steal the show, stacking the deck to make for an outright legendary experience for those in the blast zone.

In 2015, Crave’s festival-ending party at The Vulcan Gas Company was such a show. In addition to performances by legendary Minnesota rap collective Doomtree, we hosted Los Angeles rockers Irontom, smoldering Tennessee bluesmen The Black Cadillacs, as well as recent pop heroes Smallpools. But the day was crowned by Action Bronson, the poutine-slingin, chain-blunting chef who’s crushing the rap game with a new album, Mr. Wonderful.

Check out our highlight reel from the show for just a taste of what you missed if you weren’t in the house at Vulcan for this year’s SXSW peak moment. Performance footage, interview clips and more paint a portrait of an unforgettable day:
