Prepare to have your pants comprehensively crapped. Aussie FMX rider Josh Sheehan has just triple-backflipped his way into the record books by pulling off what’s been dubbed the “biggest trick in action sports history”.
That’s right, the WA-bred legend has become the first freestyle motocross rider ever to successfully land the death-defying triple backflip.
This is some straight-up Knievel shit right here. Sheehan pulled off the stunt, filmed on behalf of Nitro Circus, on a custom-built ramp at Pastrana’s Pastranaland compound in the US state of Maryland, after multiple practices with a giant airbag.
The daredevil somehow managed not to die in the process of manoeuvring his 200 kg bike onto the 11.3m ramp, with an incline of 81 degrees, at a speed of around 97km/h, shooting 24 metres into the stratosphere and pulling off three – count ’em, three – vertical axis rotations.
Check out footage of the heart-pulverising feat below.
