Memphis Depay Shirts are Selling More Than Any Other Premier League Players’

Memphis Depay replica shirts have sold more than other Premier League players’, with the Manchester United No.7 shirt only ranking behind Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi’s in the UK.

Though the Man U player has struggled to find form since moving to Old Trafford for £25 million in the summer, this apparently hasn’t slowed down the popularity of his replica shirts as they have surpassed the sales of those brandishing the names of his teammates Wayne Rooney and Bastian Schweinsteiger.

Lionel Messi remains the player whose name has sold the most shirts, with Cristiano Ronaldo in second place. Players from Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal and Chelsea ranked among the top 10 list, which used sales information compiled between July 1st and September 20th. Take a look at the list below:

  1. Lionel Messi (Barcelona)

  2. Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid)

  3. Memphis Depay (Manchester United)

  4. Bastian Schweinsteiger (Manchester United)

  5. Eden Hazard (Chelsea)

  6. Wayne Rooney (Manchester United)

  7. Neymar (Barcelona)

  8. Sergio Aguero (Manchester City)

  9. Alexis Sanchez (Arsenal)

  10. Philippe Coutinho (Liverpool)

Depay has been in the headlines this week due to a reported confrontation the footballer had with Netherlands teammate and former Man U striker Robin van Persie, which allegedly took place before the national squad’s 2-1 win over Kazakhstan on Saturday. The team’s boss Danny Blind confirmed that the two had been involved in an altercation, saying: “There are sometimes situations in training where players think different. Then you talk about it. That’s what happened and then it’s over.”
