Watch the “Worst Dive Ever” in Manchester United’s Match Against CSKA Moscow

Manchester United’s underwhelming 1-1 draw against CSKA Moscow in the clubs’ Champions League match-up last night may have been dull, but one ludicrous moment has served to make it linger in the memory far longer than it deserves.

Branded the “worst dive ever” by fans online, Moscow’s Pontus Wernbloom embarrassed himself at his club’s home ground by falling to the floor after being “taken out” by thin air, with him clearly intending to land Marouane Fellaini in hot water, but making the mistake of falling to the floor a good few inches away from any other player on the pitch.

Wernbloom is shown grabbing his face in “pain” just a few feet away from the referee, who astonishingly doesn’t even pull a yellow card out of his pocket after witnessing the woefully obvious dive.

Take a look below:

Manchester United only managed to earn a draw against Moscow, with Anthony Martial both costing and scoring a goal for the club to get them a point from the match. The youngster conceded a penalty in the opening stages of the game for a handball, but then managed to put the two teams back on level terms in the 65th minute.
