To commemorate the 10th anniversary of his culture-Cuisinart collective Buraka Som Sistema, and to pay homage to their birthplace, front-man and globe-trotting DJ and producer Branko recently compiled the hottest tracks to come out of his hometown of Lisbon over the last ten years.
Branko Presents 10 Years of Lisbon Sound includes tracks from DJ Marfox, Dotorado Pro, Diamond Bass, and many more, including the previously unreleased 2011 collaboration between Buraka Som Sistema and an up & coming rapper by the name of Miss Bank$ – better known these days as Azealia Banks. (Her appearance here proves once again that she has one of contemporary hip-hop’s keenest ears for cutting edge producers and beats.) Stream the whole two-hour set below:
