Canadian band Hey Rosetta!, who hail from St. John’s, Newfoundland, have received seven East Coast Music Award nominations, and have also been chosen to play at the CBCMusic.ca Festival next May.
They will be joined by Maestro, Tanya Tagaq (winner of the Polaris Music Prize), and folk rock duo Whitehorse.
Hey Rosetta! is nominated for album of the year, song of the year for Soft Offering (For the Oft Suffering) as well as entertainer of the year. East Coast Music Week runs April 13-17 in Sydney, Nova Scotia. The East Coast Music Awards will be hosted by Ashley MacIsaac and Heather Rankin at Sydney’s Centre 200 on April 14th. Hey Rosetta! will perform live, along with Jenn Grant, Fortunate Ones, Natalie MacMaster and Ben Caplan.
