Northern Iowa Just Hit The March Madness Buzzer Beater Of The Decade

This year’s first round of the NCAA Tournament was one of the wildest we’ve seen in a few years. But Northern Iowa capped it off with another buzzer beater that will be shown on highlight reels for the rest of our lifetimes.

Texas made a shot with 2.7 seconds left, only to watch Northern Iowa inbound the pass to Paul Jesperson, who took one dribble, a step and a heave from half court to drain a three at the buzzer to win the game.

It was pandemonium. And it’s a shot you won’t see again for a very, very long time.

What’s also crazy is that Northern Iowa hit a buzzer beater against Evansville in their conference tournament two weeks ago just to get a birth into the NCAA Tournament. Now they have a shot at making the Sweet 16 if they beat Texas A&M.

They call it March Madness for a reason.
