Hush now! The director and star of the Netflix thriller Hush are here on The B-Movies Podcast! This week, director Mike Flanagan (Oculus) and star Kate Siegel (Ouija) sit down with host William Bibbiani to talk all about the origins of Hush, the tricks involved with making a low budget thriller, and how they co-wrote the exciting new film together, acting out all of the shocking situations in the “comfort” of their own home.
Hush stars Kate Siegel as a deaf author named Maddie, who falls prey to a serial killer (John Gallagher Jr.) at her isolated home. It’s a high-concept thriller that forced the filmmakers to get exceptionally creative, and the sort of storytelling that has made Mike Flanagan a coveted talent in Hollywood. We also grill him about the upcoming horror sequel Ouija 2 and his involvement in the long-gestating I Know What You Did Last Summer reboot!
