Activision is teasing the next Call of Duty by way of some very creepy hints regarding the upcoming game’s plot, with a short video released on the series’ YouTube channel along with some alterations made to Call of Duty: Black Ops 3‘s Nuketown map dropping some clues about the game’s antagonist.
The new entry in the blockbuster FPS franchise, which is heavily rumored to be titled Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, was the subject of a video posted by CoD’s YouTube channel before it was swiftly made private. You can still check it out below:
Those playing Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 also noticed a strange message pop up in Nuketown, featuring the same voice over that appears in the short YouTube clip:

It’s uncertain what these messages mean, though it certainly suggests the upcoming game will have a far more sinister tone than previous iterations in the series. With the game also reportedly set to include a copy of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Remastered, this is the most excited we’ve been for a new Call of Duty release in quite some time.
