The inevitable downfall of General Benedict Arnold (Owain Yeoman) has finally borne fruit for the British on AMC’s original series, Turn: Washington’s Spies!
Even in the midst of plotting his betrayal of the American Revolutionary forces, Arnold sees slights everywhere that he turns. But his lover, Peggy Shippen (Ksenia Solo) has been sharp enough to fuel Arnold’s anger and encourage him to share intelligence with the red coats even before a deal is in place. And now the British now that the breakaway colonies are facing a financial meltdown.
In CraveOnline’s exclusive preview scene from Monday’s episode of Turn: Washington’s Spies, Arnold’s actions have far-reaching consequences, as the Culper ring’s man in New York, Robert Townsend (Nick Westrate) learns exactly how the other side plans to use that information.
But at least the Culper ring won’t have to worry about Major Hewlett (Burn Gorman) anymore! At least it looks like he’s about to make an exit, after Anna Strong (Heather Lind) betrayed him at the alter during last week’s episode. But there’s no reconciliation in the air between Abe (Jamie Bell) and his father, Judge Richard Woodhull (Kevin R. McNally), who seem to be further apart than ever.
AMC has also released the description of the next episode of Turn: Washington’s Spies:
“Townsend uncovers a British counterfeiting operation. Rogers threatens to destroy Abe’s spying ring. Simcoe threatens Richard.”
The new episode of Turn: Washington’s Spies debuts Monday, May 23 at 10pm PST and EST on AMC.
