Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has refused to apologise for shoving Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho during the clubs’ tense Premier League clash this past weekend.
Wenger got into an altercation with Mourinho after Gary Cahill’s reckless challenge on Alexis Sanchez, with officials being forced to break the two managers up.

Speaking after the match, which saw Arsenal lose 2-0 to their London rivals, Wenger said: “What is there to regret? I wanted to go from A to B, and somebody confronted me before B without any sign of welcome. B was Sánchez, to see how badly he was injured.”
When asked what Mourinho had said to him on the touchline prior to the altercation, Wenger replied: “Honestly, I don’t listen to what he says. Push him? You would know if I really tried to push [him]. Come on.”
Chelsea proved dominant in their victory at Stamford Bridge, in what was previously touted to be a difficult contest for the Blues. They now sit 5 points ahead of Manchester City atop the Premier League table, though there is still plenty left to play for at this point in the season.
