I think I’ve lost count of how many lies my folks told me growing up — fibs that I, of course, believed because I was a naive kid. And sure, nothing has changed all that much, aside from the fact that I now know that plenty of kids were lied to right to their faces by their parents, as well. But at least now we can laugh about it, especially as we read some of the fabrications below that parents have told their children.
