Is this the new “my dog ate my homework”?
If you’re lucky enough, when you’re in college you might enroll in a class that has a pretty laidback professor. Perhaps you will get a professor that excused a student from class because a freaking SWAT team was outside the door. Or perhaps you will get a professor that had the perfect response to a student’s drunk email. Or maybe, just maybe you will get a professor like the one below.
Rachel Harriman, a 19-year-old at Ohio State University wasn’t able to submit a homework assignment in on time because she had just recently been dumped. So what did Harriman do? Well, she just spilled the beans to her professor, and held nothing back.

Well damn, having your heart broken into a bunch of pieces is a solid excuse for your assignment being late. Then again Harriman probably left her assignment to the last minute because she’s a college student and that’s what college students do.
Regardless, here’s what her professor responded with.

It sure does seem like this professor didn’t want to get tangled up with all this college drama.
Oh, and guess what? Harriman actually got a passing grade on the assignment when she finally turned it in.
“I got a B+ on the assignment,” Harriman told BuzzFeed. “He did not take off any points for it being late.”
