Do you think you have the roommate from hell? Yeah, think again.
We all need to talk about a University of Hartford student name Brianna Brochu. Brochu was recently arrested after it was discovered that she had committed a series of awful and gross attacks against her roomie, Chennel ‘Jazzy’ Rowe. One of those attacks? Rubbing used tampons on Rowe’s bag. Oh, Brochu also stuck Rowe’s toothbrush “in places where the sun doesn’t shine.”

Brochu is also accused of being racist as not only is Rowe black, but Brochu referred to her as a “Jamaican Barbie.” Brochu even bragged about her attacks on her own Instagram page because she’s a massive idiot, comments that got back to Rowe herself. Here’s a screenshot.

Chennel reported the harassment allegations to university staff and West Hartford police. She said the school originally told her she may or may not hear anything back about the incident. After becoming frustrated at how the incident was being handled, she posted her Facebook video online.
“If the race roles were switched, so many things would have been done already,” she says in the footage. Since then, her story has been shared thousands of times on Facebook and Twitter. The university’s president Greg Woodward last night issued a statement in which he said: “Let me be clear: the accused student’s behavior was reprehensible and does not reflect the values of our institution.
Let me also be clear that I am confident the University has taken all steps to pursue this matter seriously, and will continue to do so. ‘Racism and hatred will not be tolerated on this campus. Period. ‘I encourage every one of you reading this email to report incidents on campus that are troubling and worthy of review.”
Brochu has been charged with second-degree breach of peace and third-degree criminal mischief.
