Sorry to remind you how lame you are, but an 11-month-old baby is about to best you in the most badass sport ever: snowboarding.
Yes, you read that right. Wang Yuji isn’t even one-year-old yet but she’s been hitting the slopes in Zhangjiakou, China on the regular, and we’d bet anything her skills are better honed than yours. In viral videos of the tot, you can see her all suited up and on the snowboard, squatting like a pro and riding over the snow as her dad (and a pup) run nearby.
“Her mom and I really like sports but we didn’t know how to ski before. We planned to learn skiing this time, with one person taking the class and the other one taking care of the baby,” the proud papa tells ShanghaiEye. “But when we found out that this place also sells kid’s snowboards, we tried it and bought one for her. It turned out that she not only was able to stand on it, but also can enjoy the fun of winter sports.”
Though the pint-sized snowboarder does suffer the occasional wipeout, Yuji just gets back up and keeps on shredding. She’s far more resilient – and determined – than we are on the slopes. Maybe after we watch a few more videos of her conquering this winter weather sport like a champ, we’ll get motivated to get back out there. More likely, however, we’ll just sit here and snack in the warm comfort of our homes and work on our dad bods.
