Taissa Farmiga May Return For ‘American Horror Story’ Season 3

During “American Horror Story: Asylum,” Taissa Farmiga was one of the few cast members from the first season of “American Horror Story” not to return for at least a cameo role. But that may be changing next season.

Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Farmiga is in negotiations to come back for “American Horror Story” Season 3 as the series resets its story and characters once again.

“I missed her this season,” explained “American Horror Story” co-creator, Ryan Murphy. “There wasn’t really a role for her. I feel very protective of her and I didn’t want her to go back into the loony bin—it was too dark. So I thought well ‘I want Taissa to be one of the leads next year.’ I called her up and pitched her the character for the season and she loved it and she said, ‘Yes let’s do it.’ So we’re in negotiations for her to headline season 3.”

Murphy has previously stated that he missed the teenage romance from the first season between Farmiga’s Violet Harmon and Evan Peters’ Tate Langdon. Murphy also noted that the third season will have a Romeo and Juliet style romance. The EW report states that Farmiga’s character will be involved with that angle if she does agree to return.

Peters is already set to come back for his third season on “American Horror Story” alongside Sarah Paulson and Jessica Lange.

The EW report also dropped an interesting teaser for the new season: “Murphy hopes to shoot [the third season] in three different cities.”

“American Horror Story” Season 3 is expected to debut in October 2013 on FX.
