This September, the story of Spartacus reaches its bloody conclusion in “Spartacus: War of The Damned” The Complete Third Season on DVD and Blu-ray.
Picking up months after the events of “Spartacus: Vengeance,” “War of The Damned” finds Spartacus (Liam McIntyre) leading a massive slave army that is mighty enough to shake the Roman Republic to its core. But Crassus ( Simon Merrells) and Caesar (Todd Lasance) are more formidable foes than any Romans whom Spartacus has previously encountered. And not everyone makes it out of this story alive.
“Spartacus: War of The Damned” The Complete Third Season features all ten episodes from the final season of STARZ’s hit series, with multiple featurettes, including “Spartacus: The Legend Retold,” “The Price of Being a Gladiator,” “The Mind Behind Spartacus” and “A Bloody Farewell.” The Blu-ray sets will also feature extended episodes and audio commentaries.
To celebrate the impending release “Spartacus: War of The Damned,” Anchor Bay Entertainment has sent us an exclusive behind-the-scenes clip from one of the featurettes in which visual effects artist Tim Capper, director Michael Hurst and more explain the technical aspects of creating the epic battles and landscapes of the show.
