There are routine catches. There are web gems. Then there is what J.B. Shuck did Friday night.
Los Angeles Angels’ Shuck made one of the greatest catches ever seen. It may sound a bit too much hyperbolic, but when you see the video you’ll understand why Jose Bautista was left stunned and shocked standing at first, wondering how his home run wasn't just that.
Shuck ran to the short wall near Angel Stadium’s left field foul pole and perfectly timed his leap. He jumped back into the crowd to catch a would-be Bautista home run.
Crowd ignited. Players in awe. Blue Jays in disbelief.
This play has to be amongst the best all-time. Simply amazeballs.
