Tracy McGrady’s Best NBA Footage

NBA star Tracy McGrady announced his retirement on ESPN’s First Take Monday morning. The 7-time NBA All-Star bounced around the league the last few years, including a stint in China, before riding bench for the San Antonio Spurs during their NBA Finals run against the Heat this past spring.

Drafted by the Raptors at age 18 out of high school, T-Mac was at one-time the most fierce scorer in basketball. Even I forget the prowess McGrady displayed in his Orlando days, where he won two NBA scoring titles. Heck, there was possibly only one player I witnessed take down nastier in-game slam dunks than T-Mac — that being his cousin, Vince Carter.

Here’s one video displaying his “Top 10” career plays. Absolutely a joke:

Ya — how about that time McGrady scored 13 points in 35 seconds? This game was completely over until T-Mac went on a three-point rampage on December 12, 2004 against the Spurs. Ridiculous.

It’s hard to say whether or not McGrady is Hall-of-Fame worthy. But if one thing is for certain, if not for injuries, McGrady could have been one of the best wings the NBA had ever seen. Racking up stats from the young age of 18 would have ensured his final career numbers would have been out of this world — similar to LeBron’s? It’s very possible.
