You can’t shake a dead nyan cat without hitting video mashups of James Franco’s character from Spring Breakers, Alien, and his catchphrase “Look at my sh!t” all over the interwebs.
Now, the company that distributed Spring Breakers, A24, is pushing for an Oscar nomination for Franco with an industry ad reading “Consider this sh!t,” according to Crave’s CinemaBlend website. A24 is asking Academy voters to consider Franco for Best Supporting Actor.
We’ll have to see what comes of this rather unique plea to recognize an acting performance. We do know this, Franco’s Alien is likely the only sh!t worth looking at in Spring Breakers.
