It’s a good day to be Ryan Turek. The managing editor of Shock Till You Drop (a division of CraveOnline and Evolve Media) and Kings of Horror co-host has just announced his latest venture: teaming with film/music/video distribution company The Orchard to produce an all-new YouTube Channel, complete with original content, and release feature-length horror films under their own banner.
Horror enthusiasts can find the Shock Till You Drop YouTube channel here, and be on the lookout for the premiere of two new hosted programs. The film distribution deal with send an initial wave of four features onto all major online services – including iTunes, Amazon, Hulu, Vudu, Netflix, XBox and PS3 – as well as select titles on Cable VOD and DVD.
The first four titles include:
Missionary (pictured above), a thriller about a single mother stalked by a Mormon missionary, starring Dawn Olivieri, Mitch Ryan and Kip Pardue, directed by Anthony DiBlasi (Dread).
The Complex, a Japanese horror film about a young woman (Atsuko Maeda) investigating a series of mysteries deaths at her new apartment building, directed by acclaimed filmmaker Hideo Nakata (Ringu).
SoLo, a thriller starring Annie Clark (“Degrassi: The Next Generation”) as a camp counselor in the middle of a hazing ritual that soon turns terrifying, directed by first-time feature filmmaker Isaac Cravit.
Bela Kiss, a thriller about the real-life World War I serial killer from Hungary, and a team of modern-day bank robbers who become embroiled in his horrible legacy, starring Kristine Klebe (Rob Zombie’s Halloween) and Rudolf Martin (“Buffy the Vampire Slayer”), directed by first-time filmmaker Lucien Förstner.
We are extremely proud of our comrades-in-arms at Shock Till You Drop for living the universal dream of transforming their love for films into means of making them. Best of luck, Ryan! We hope these movies kick ass.
