The adventures of Damien Scott and Michael Stonebridge are coming to an end.
According to a report on Deadline, “Strike Back” has been renewed for its fourth and final season on Cinemax. Counting the original season on Sky1 (currently running on Cinemax as “Strike Back: Origins”), “Strike Back” will conclude with 46 total episodes after the ten episode fourth season.
Sullivan Stapleton and Philip Winchester will be back for the fourth season of “Strike Back,” along with co-executive producers Michael J. Bassett and James Dormer. “Strike Back” Season 4 is expected to film in Asia and Europe for a 2014 debut.
In 2011, “Strike Back” kicked off a new era in original programming for Cinemax as it helped pave the way for “Hunted” and “Banshee” on the network. However, “Strike Back” was the flagship series of Cinemax and it’s not clear what will eventually replace it on the schedule. Presumably this means that a new action series will be ready for a summer 2015 premiere on Cinemax.
