Exclusive ‘Strike Back: Origins’ Episode 2 Preview Scene

Last week, the original incarnation of “Chris Ryan’s Strike Back” made its American debut on Cinemax as “Strike Back: Origins.” And in this show, the main character is John Porter (Richard Armitage), a former SAS soldier whose life fell apart after a disastrous rescue mission in Iraq.

Seven years later, Porter was called back to duty by Hugh Collinson (Andrew Lincoln) to take part in Section 20’s mission to recover Katie Dartmouth (Orla Brady), a journalist kidnapped in Iraq. But the only reason Porter is involved at all is that he believes that one of Dartmouth’s abductors is As’ad (Fenar Mohammed Ali ), the young boy whom he spared on that ill-fated mission.

Unfortunately for everyone, Section 20’s strike team was killed in an explosive trap. So Porter set out on his own to rescue Dartmouth.

In this week’s exclusive preview scene from Cinemax, we see that it didn’t take long for Porter to find the terrorists. But he’s not exactly in a position to save Dartmouth…

And in the second preview scene, Porter races to stop Dartmouth’s execution while struggling to keep himself alive as well.

Finally, we have a behind-the-scenes video with Armitage and Lincoln as they reveal some of the dangerous moments and close calls they had while filming one of the pivotal scenes of “Strike Back: Origins.”

“Strike Back: Origins” continues tonight on Cinemax!
