I always crack up when ESPN fantasy analyst Matthew Berry proclaims, "it never pays to hustle!" Kentucky's James Young might wish he listened to Berry's podcast. He sure didn't get rewarded for hustling Monday night against D-II Montavello.
Check out Young jump out of bounds after the ball in an attempt to make a save, only to toss it up several feet in the air and into his opponent's goal.
The game was an exhibition and Kentucky obviously never had the game in doubt, winning 95-72, therefore all the crowd — and Young — could do was laugh.
It is most certainly the most improbable goal I've seen in quite some time.
