Marvel UK was once its own thriving entity, and we’ll be getting that flavor back with a new 8-issue limited series which starts with Revolutionary War: Alpha, from writers Andy Lanning and Alan Cowsill.
Here’s the blurb: “Long ago, Captain Britain, Dark Angel, Motormouth and the pantheon of Marvel UK Heroes believed they had defeated the shadowy Mys-Tech organization in one Earth-shattering climactic battle. But they were wrong. Mys-Tech has returned, and their presence threatens not only the world – but the entire universe! Now, Marvel UK’s greatest heroes must band together for the first time in 20 years to stop a long forgotten enemy. But are they too late?”
Check out this first look at Revolutionary War: Alpha, due out January 8, featuring art from Richard Elson and a cover by Mark Brooks. It’ll be followed by Revolutionary War: Dark Angel #1, from Kieron Gillen and Dietrich Smith, and if Death’s Head doesn’t show up in this somewhere (especially since Gillen recently used him in Iron Man), something’s wrong with this picture.
