As far back as the sixth season of “Doctor Who,” we’ve heard about the Fall of the Eleventh on the fields of Trenzalore. We’ve even seen the TARDIS transformed into the Doctor’s crypt at the end of his long life.
Now that time has arrived. This is the Time of the Doctor.
With Matt Smith’s final appearance as the Doctor only a few weeks away, BBC America has released the first trailer for “Doctor Who: The Time of The Doctor,” which offers a few tantalizing glimpses of the Doctor’s final battle in his current incarnation. The Daleks, the Cybermen, the Weeping Angels and the Silence are all on hand to finish off their greatest adversary. But who is pulling their strings? Which villain will put down the Doctor? How will the Doctor break the regeneration limit to become Peter Capaldi’s Twelfth Doctor? And how many Doctor Who purists will insist on calling Capaldi the Thirteenth Doctor?
The answers await on December 25!
