Arctic Air And Cracked Are Cancelled

The CBC network has cancelled a number of shows recently, including “Arctic Air,” “Cracked,” and “Ron James Show.”

The cooking shows “Best Recipes Ever” and “In the Kitchen with Stefano Faita” are also getting the boot.

The cancellations come only days after it was announced that the CBC has lost the rights to Hockey Night in Canada, which will now be broadcast by Rogers.

A sub-licensing deal will allow “Hockey Night in Canada” to continue airing on CBC, but under Rogers control beginning this fall (The Canadian Press). The private broadcaster has said it plans to use the HNIC brand on networks including City, Sportsnet, Sportsnet One, Sportsnet 360 and FX Canada.

David Sutcliffe, the lead actor in “Cracked,” tweeted, “If you haven’t heard, CRACKED has been cancelled. Proud of what we accomplished, sad to see it go. Thanks to all who watched and supported.”
