The mysterious character who appeared in the Halo 5: Guardians teaser image (pictured above) has been revealed as Agent Locke, who will star in director Ridley Scott’s upcoming digital Halo Nightfall series.
In the teaser image, Locke can be seen standing in parallel with Master Chief, equipped with a snazzy looking blue visor.
343 Industries’ Bonnie Ross revealed the character’s identity to Polygon, saying that the character will also play “a key role in Halo 5: Guardians.”
Ross said: “We’re using Halo Nightfall to basically tell his backstory and tell his origin story. You don’t have to watch this, but knowing this will kind of tee you up for all the new things that are going on in Halo 5: Guardians.”
Halo Nightfall is currently in production, with 343 Industries revealing more regarding how the show and Halo 5: Guardians will work in tandem to relay more of the Halo 5 story at San Diego Comic Con.
