Games Of Thrones Hodor Is Coming To Halifax

Halifaxers and Game of Thrones’ fans unite! Actor Kristian Nairn, known for his role of Hodor on the hit HBO Canada show “Game of Thrones,” will be one of the special guests at this year’s Hal-Con, which takes place in November.

Nairn, who is also known for projects like “Ripper Street” and a number of self appearances, was voted one of the most memorable guests of Channel 4‘s “The Salon,” and was consequently used in promoting the show’s following season. He is also a musician, DJ, and producer with much respect in the music industry. He’s played with bands like Scissor Sisters, Mylo, Calvin Harris and Alphabeat.

When he’s not working, Nairn remains a loyal sci-fi and fantasy fan, dabbling in not only his on-screen role of Hodor but also finding himself on the (small) small screen via Blizzard’s award-winning game, World of Warcraft.

“I never thought this would happen – I’ve always worked in the entertainment sector, and I’ve always suspected I’ve had the capacity to do this, because if you don’t believe in yourself, what’s the point? But it still takes me by surprise every day,” the actor recently told the Australian paper “The Sydney Morning Herald.” “I’m so lucky, I’m very thankful for what has happened. Every week there’s a definitely a moment of: “What the f—, is this my life?”

Hal-Con runs from November 7-9. For more info, visit their website.
