iZombie has one of the most unique and intriguing concepts of any upcoming show. Based upon the comic-book series of the same name, iZombie follows the story of Liv (Rose McIver), a zombie who must feast upon brains in order for her to retain her memories and intelligence. During Comic-Con 2014 we had the chance to speak with the producer and co-creator of the show, Rob Thomas, about how he may have finally nailed the TV comic-book adaptation formula by transforming iZombie into a procedural drama.

Thomas, who has previously stated that the show will be more easily comparable with Buffy the Vampire Slayer than Veronica Mars, was keen to emphasize what he’ll be bringing the table in order to make iZombie one of the hottest shows around when it eventually debuts. The pilot episode wasn’t unveiled as fans had hoped, with Thomas stating that it wasn’t yet finished due to some recasting that needed to take place. We can’t wait to see the final product.
