Hollidaysburg: Exclusive Poster Debut

The STARZ original TV series “The Chair” has a pretty cool set-up: two filmmakers are challenged to each direct a film based on the same screenplay. The winner (based on multi-platform voting) gets $250,000 but we’re pretty sure getting a movie made is a reward in-and-of itself. The first film produced by the series, Hollidaysburg, is getting a theatrical release this month and CraveOnline has got an exclusive, very classy poster to debut for you.

Hollidaysburg is the story of a group of teenagers who reunite in their hometown during their first holiday break after starting college, and see just how much they have already changed. The reuniting friends dynamic is a familiar one for many audiences, but the brief span between their separation and return in Hollidaysburg does seem to be a new wrinkle on a familiar storytelling trope.

Hollidaysburg was directed by “The Chair” contestant Anna Martemucci. The second film produced in the series, Shane Dawson’s Not Cool, based on the same screenplay, premieres the same day.

You can watch the production of Hollidaysburg documented in “The Chair” on STARZ, Saturdays at 11pm ET/PT.

Hollidaysburg opens in New York on September 19, 2014 and in Los Angeles on September 26, 2014 in Los Angeles.

From the Press Release:

HOLLIDAYSBURG is a refreshing coming-of-age comedy about finding love and the thrilling first moments of adulthood.  When high school friends reunite over their first holiday break during college, they discover just how much they have changed while their town of Hollidaysburg has stayed the same. Within hours of his return, former prom king, Scott (Tobin Mitnick) is dumped by his now-depressive girlfriend, discovers his parents have sold his childhood home, and must prepare to say goodbye to his beloved town forever. Meanwhile, Scott’s acquaintance and quasi “kid sister” Tori (Rachel Keller) is miserable because of a domineering best friend who she’s outgrown, but can’t seem to shake. When the events of the weekend throw Scott and Tori together, an unlikely romance blossoms.
