From 1998 to 2003, comic book icon Adam Hughes was the primary cover artist on DC’s Wonder Woman. And now over a decade later, Hughes is revisiting one of his signature runs.
DC Comics has passed along an exclusive first look at Hughes’ cover for Sensation Comics Featuring Wonder Woman # 4. Sensation Comics is the new digital first comic book series that launched earlier this year which focuses on continuity free tales of Wonder Woman as told by some of the biggest names in comics.
Sensation Comics # 4 will be comprised of chapters 8, 10 and 11 from the digital release of this series. In Sensation Comics Chapter # 8 by Neil Kleid and Dean Haspiel, Wonder Woman and her longtime friend, Etta Candy find themselves in conflict with Batman’s adversary, Ra’s al Ghul. For Sensation Comics Chapter # 10, Rob Williams and Tom Lyle pit Wonder Woman against the Thanagarian menace known as Byth. And in Chapter # 11, Ollie Masters and Amy Mebberson craft a story about Wonder Woman and Catwoman in London.
DC Comics will release Sensation Comics Chapter # 8 on digital platforms and directly through their website. The print edition of Sensation Comics Featuring Wonder Woman # 4 will hit comic shops on Wednesday, November 19.
