Microsoft’s newly unveiled Windows 10 (which skipped right past Windows 9 because it’s just that good, apparently) will be available to download in the form of its Technical Preview today.

The new operating system, which will see the return of the Start Menu and will feature multi-tasking functionality by way of multiple desktops, was announced in a press event held by Microsoft yesterday. Later today the Windows 10 Technical Preview will be available to download from the Windows Insider Program website right here.
The Technical Preview is not the final build of Windows 10, so users may experience some problems with it. However, if you want to experience a taster of what will be offered come the launch of the OS, its preview build will grant you the opportunity to do so.
It has been rumored that Windows 10 will be free for those currently running Windows 8, and may be offered at a lower price for those running earlier versions of the Windows OS. Microsoft didn’t respond to those rumors during its press event, though we should expect more information regarding that speculation sooner rather than later.
