It’s October once again, and that means it’s time to watch a bunch of horror movies. But what if you don’t have the time? What if you need to watch a whole bunch of horror movies all at once? That’s where the good ol’ horror anthology comes in. Movies like Creepshow and Tales from the Crypt and Dead of Night provide a handful short horror movies in a single feature film, but the ABCs of Death films have them beat. This new franchise offers 26 horror shorts, each from a different director, each corresponding to a different letter of the alphabet, in just one movie.
And today, CraveOnline is premiering an exclusive still from “N is for Nexus,” the ABCs of Death 2 installment directed by horror luminary Larry Fessenden (Wendigo)! And look at it… it’s a scream!
Larry Fessenden will be joined by fellow genre directors Vincenzo Natali (Splice), Bill Plympton (I Married a Strange Person), E.L. Katz (Cheap Thrills), Rodney Ascher (Room 237) and Jen & Sylvia Soska (American Mary), amongst over 20 others. It’s bound to be full of more surprises. In 2013 the most ambitious anthology ever created was released to an unsuspecting public. It divided audiences. Some claimed it was a much needed adrenaline shot to the heart of horror. Many others claimed it was reprehensible and vile.

ABC’s OF DEATH 2 is the follow-up to the most ambitious anthology film ever conceived with productions spanning from Nigeria to UK to Brazil and everywhere in between. It features segments directed by over two dozen of the world’s leading talents in contemporary genre film. The film is comprised of twenty-six individual chapters, each helmed by a different director assigned a letter of the alphabet. The directors were then given free rein in choosing a word to create a story involving death.
Provocative, shocking, funny and at times confrontational, ABC’s OF DEATH 2 is another global celebration of next generation genre filmmaking.
